looking for queerness This work investigates how drawing autobiographical comics might enable me to make sense of queer ways of being in my childhood – ways of being that may have been discounted, ignored, or suppressed. My practice looks at how drawing and performing the self through the medium of comics has the potential to produce new understandings for the maker of these self-representations.
