The objective of this study is to analyse the evolution of erstwhile monster into modern monster within the society in La trilogie de Mallaig of Diane Lacombe: La chatelaine de Mallaig, Sorcha de Mallaig, and Lhermine de Mallaig. A social and mythological study has demonstrated how society interacts with this creature who shatters the microcosm. The figure of the stranger and Dionysus are essential to social disorder, to chaos. The victimization process, which includes the steps of transgression, crisis, reparation, and redemption, has made it possible to understand that society wishes to re-establish the order that it once lost by the presence of the strange Dionysian monster.
