In Canada there was a spike in the number of calls to the police and helplines ranging from verbal abuse, threats to assaults on women. This presentation will review the legal responses to and legislation on domestic violence in selected jurisdictions like Canada, South Africa, United States, Kenya, Brazil and the United Kingdom. | |
