dc.description.abstractThis presentation outlined the evaluation tools designed by the Wilfrid Laurier University Library to determine the extent of learning among students who completed the library’s online tutorial in basic information competence skills. Practical tips for designing an effective assessment plan and suggestions as to how assessment results can help guide and inform future directions for online instruction are provided. A brief review of the literature as it pertains to the evaluation of library instruction was also incorporated within this presentation.en
