| dc.description.abstract | The housing crisis is multi-dimensional. Housing needs to be looked at through the lens of a human right and core determinant of health. From a social, environmental and community planning perspective housing justice requires the mobilization of creative alternatives for housing intervention. In order to address incomplete processes that shape our current paradigm we need to challenge the status quo. Marginalized communities experiencing housing insecurity require community support that bridges infrastructure gaps for navigating the systems that govern those processes. The health and well-being of communities is dependent on housing, social programs, employment potentials and accessibility to available resources. | |
