dc.description.sponsorship	The contributions included in this volume, a collection of papers selected after the conference, are sophisticated engagements with translation as a concept. The authors position themselves in relation to the contemporary literature in the field of translation studies, but they also move beyond the field’s established disciplinary boundaries. That is the most outstanding feature of the present collection. These articles bring translation in conversation with such diverse range of fields as fashion studies, nonviolent communication, anthropology, aboriginal studies, art history, and language policy and planning.
