This major project examined how community members in rural Honduras understand the relationship between environmental factors and community health and well-being. It also explored how their most pressing challenges could be addressed by relevant stakeholders, including governments, non-governmental organizations, and communities themselves. In collaboration with the sustainable development organization, Global Brigades, the research team conducted eleven interviews with community members across seven rural Honduran communities. Interviews were filmed and edited to create the documentary UNIDOS: A Path to Healthy Honduran Communities. The film outlines the major environmental factors impacting community health in rural Honduras, which include issues in WASH access and infrastructure, environmental contamination, and climate change. The film also outlines how relevant actors have previously addressed these factors, as well as noted the gaps that exist within their initiatives and operations. This project concludes that adequately addressing these environmental factors and improving health outcomes in rural Honduran communities will require a high level of unity, commitment and accountability amongst all relevant actors.en_US
