| dc.description.abstract | Steacie Science and Engineering Library of York University has been holding an annual Ada Lovelace Day Wikipedia Editathon since 2015. We have observed that participants learning to become Wikipedians and experienced Wikipedians often have some difficulty finding Open Access photographs of scientists for their Wikipedia articles. The aim of this upload is to make a group of photos available in Yorkspace under a Creative Commons CC0 or Public Domain license, to increase accessibility to such photos. This group of photos includes Faculty of Science, Dean Emerita Gillian (Gill) E. Wu, York University Research Chair in Global Change Biology, Professor Sapna Sharma, American Ornithological Society President, Kathy Martin, Dr. Eden Hennessey, Research and Programs Director at Laurier University's Centre for Women in Science, and a Biology Department group photo. | en_US |
