dc.description.abstract | Inspired by true events, Promise Me is a neorealistic fiction film that centers on Charlie Thomas (15), who is facing the reality that her mother Yolanda Thomas (40) is dying from the complications of living with HIV and can no longer parent as she has before. Loyal, Charlie insists on being her mother's caregiver until the very end. But Yolandas degrading health forces Charlie to make a hard choice knowing that she may have to live with a decision that's outside of her control. | |
