dc.description.abstractPresentation examines the characteristics of records, reasons for their management, the legislative framework at the federal, provincial and municipal levels of government that govern their use and retention, elements of a records management program, and archives in the context of corporate governance and cultural programming. The text is based on Moir's work as Director of Corporate Records Services and City Archivist for the City of Toronto from 1998 to 2004.
