dc.description.abstractDoes the Sand Hear the Waves? is an experimental diary film which follows and investigates the journey of a girl raised in an Eastern culture, but who resides in a Western country. The film is about transformation and adaptation, gaining and losing, memory, nostalgia and building a new self-identity.
