Description

Note: Charles Sauriol (1905-1995) was a life-long admirer and advocate for the Don Valley. He grew up near the Valley and from 1927 until 1968, he and his family spent every summer at a cottage at the Forks of the Don. Sauriol founded the Don Valley Conservation Association (DVCA) in 1949. He produced the DVCA's quarterly newsletter, The Cardinal, from 1951 to 1956, and authored several books on the Don in the 1980s and early 1990s.
