The objective of this study is to analyse the evolution of erstwhile monster into modern monster within the society in La trilogie de Mallaig of Diane Lacombe: La chatelaine de Mallaig, Sorcha de Mallaig, and Lhermine de Mallaig. A social and mythological study has demonstrated how society interacts with this creature who shatters the microcosm. The figure of the stranger and Dionysus are essential to social disorder, to chaos.
